Camp Siberia is a non-profit ORGANIZATION THAT FOR 11 YEARS PROVIDED A RESIDENTIAL SUMMER CAMP THAT ENRICHED THE LIVES OF RUSSIAN orphans and Northwest youth.

Located in the countryside outside of Novosibirsk, Russia, the camp operated with a staff of American high school student volunteers and provided Russian orphans with an opportunity to experience the hoys of childhood in a positive and caring environment. This portion of Camp Siberia ceased operation in 2011, but the scholarship program remains robust and active

Through its “scholarship” program, Camp Siberia provides living stipends and mentoring to a small number of Russian orphans as they leave the orphanages and embark on life on their own. Camp Siberia-sponsored youth have pursued careers in teaching, theatrical costuming, horticulture, agricultural management and several other fields. Without the assistance of Camp Siberia, many of these young people would likely have been marginalized in the changing Russian economy. Some would have found themselves in prison or on the streets. Instead, these young people are building productive lives in a difficult economic environment.
