Auction

In addition to offering a memorable and fun summer camp experience for “our” orphans, Camp Siberia is committed to helping these young people to build productive lives after they leave the orphanage. Most are ill-equipped to provide for themselves and all too often, they turn to prostitution or drugs to survive. This is not the life we envisioned for the children with whom we sang, played games and did crafts. And we know there is something better.

With the funds raised at Camp Siberia’s annual auction, we are able to provide living stipends and mentoring to a few orphans each year by making it possible for them to attend universities, institutes or colleges – a real alternative to life on the streets. All the money raised at the auction goes toward support for these “scholarship” students. The more money we raise through the auction, the more hope we carry to Russia.

This year’s auction will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. Tickets are $85 per person and can be reserved by contacting Ellin Spenser at 206-842-7036.
